Because of their passion for comedy and their desperate desire not to practice law, the Comedians at Law joined together to travel the country, deliver their diverse and intelligent brand of humor, and entertain audiences at law schools, bar associations, law firms, comedy clubs and anyone else willing to cut a check that can be used to pay down their student loans.

The reaction has been overwhelming. Comedians at Law are in demand, and members of Comedians at Law have appeared on Fox News “On the Record,” CBS, Sirius/XM’s “Raw Dog” Comedy (as guests and as guest-hosts of their morning program), and in The Wall Street Journal and Comedians at Law: Good at Law. Better at Comedy.
Matt Ritter:
Matt Ritter recently traded big law for the big stage. He graduated from the University Pennsylvania Law School and worked as a corporate lawyer at one of the top firm's in the country before leaving the law to pursue a career in entertainment. Matt’s voice can be heard both behind the camera as well as in front, center stage. Behind the camera, Matt is a writer and TV producer on various shows including A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” and Discovery's “Fat N’ Furious." He is also the co-creator of the television series “Chained to My Ex” which premiered on MSNBC recently to rave reviews, and he has sold scripted projects to Comedy Central and E! and is an on-camera host of multiple aftershows on Afterbuzz TV. Matt also carved out an interesting niche in the standup space: founding a troupe of lawyers turned comedians, aptly named the "Comedians at Law" and headlining across the country from the Hollywood Improv to Gotham Comedy Club as well as many corporate gigs. Additionally, Matt has been a guest commentator on various programs (CBS News, Fox News “On the Record”, NBC,, ComedyTime TV, and, has guest hosted (Sirius XM “Raw Dog” Comedy) and is a writer for various publications (Above the Law, Bitter Lawyer, Readers Digest, and US Weekly).

Matt Goldich: Matt Goldich is a stand-up comedian who has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Comedy Central's Premium Blend. In 2017 he released his debut album, "The Matt Goldich Guarantee." Matt is currently a staff writer for Late Night with Seth Meyers. He has also been a writer for the Late Show with David Letterman, the Emmy Awards, the Golden Globes, the Jeselnik Offensive, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and VH1's Best Week Ever. Matt co-hosts the Sorry I've Been So Busy podcast with his friend Andrew Goldstein. He has won two Daytime Emmy Awards.
Bob Howard: Bob Howard is a lawyer licensed in Arizona in 1976. He has been doing standup comedy on a regular basis since taking a comedy class in1993. His credits include the Tempe Improv, the Comedy Spot, the Matazal Casino, the Comedy Barn and the Assisted Living Center in Heber. He was a winner of the Funniest Person in the Valley Contest n 2001, won the Phoenix Rotary 100 John O’Connor Humor Competition in 2013 and has opened for Wanda Sykes, Mark Cordes and Todd Glass.   He also tried out for Star Search and they offered to validate his parking.
Michael Turner: Michael Turner has been doing comedy in Phoenix since 2012. He is a co-producer on two of Phoenix's most popular shows appropriately named Literally The Worst Show Ever and This Week Sucks, Tonight! which is a weekly show that is livestreamed on Facebook every Thursday at 11 PM. The show will also feature Shapel Lacey, Jessie Johnson, Anwar Newton and Michael Longfellow.

Mason Pipes: Mason Pipes was born the same year that Cartoon Network was created, and the two have aged quite similarly. Much like the beloved television station, his sense of humor has grown more mature over the years, all the while still maintaining that farts are funny. Mason began performing comedy at age 19, and has since shared his stories at comedy clubs and festivals around North America. He was a finalist in House of Comedy’s “Funniest Person with a Day Job” contest, and has had the privilege of opening for national headliners like Tom Rhodes, Nick Vatterott, and Dan Soder.
Genevieve Rice: Genevieve Rice is a Phoenix-based comedian, human woman, and definitely not a bunch of raccoons in a trench coat. She founded Bird City Comedy Festival, which takes place in downtown Phoenix every spring, and has appeared in numerous festivals, including Altercation Comedy Festival, Blue Whale Comedy Festival and Beast Village Comedy Festival. Genevieve also produces and hosts Jazz & Jokes, a monthly show that combines comedy & music to fight a common enemy: magic. She lives with her husband, two cats and a lifetime of regret.
